Coordinator, Clinical Support

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Program Administrator, creates clinical schedules for students to assure each student is exposed to the required types of clinical cases, and coordinates contracts with clinical affiliates, manages student vacations, personal/emergent days, compensation days and oversees activities of the Clinical Support Specialist.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an educational setting
  • Ability to review suggested changes and maintain contracts with clinical affiliates
  • Strong computer skills in MS Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with students, staff, faculty and the public

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Executive Vice President/Program Administrator:

  • Creates student clinical calendar
  • Assists in completion of the Annual Report to COA
  • Assists in completion of requests for approval of new clinical sites
  • Contacts and maintains contracts with clinical sites
  • Completes forms for COA related to Senior Elective sites
  • Prepares documents, maintains selected institutional records, and prepares reports related to the clinical portion of the program
  • Participates in review of accreditation self-study documents
  • Maintains student clinical schedules
  • Create new 3-13 shift schedules for Seniors
  • Create new 10 hour shift clinical rotation schedule for Juniors
  • Maintains student files to ensure participation at clinical sites
  • Administers, reads and documents TB skin tests
  • Maintains current RN licensure for students
  • Communicates with site Clinical Coordinators in issues related to clinical scheduling
  • Makes appointments for clinical site visits by the Program Administrator, Assistant Program Administrator, or other designated CRNA faculty member representative.
  • Assists in completing the record of clinical site visits by Program Administrator or other designated CRNA faculty member representative
  • Maintains vacation/absence calendar for students
  • Maintains record of liability insurance for students and distributes this to clinical sites as requested
  • Distributes information to students, related to choice of Senior Elective, and notifies Operations Assistant of choice of elective
  • Maintains Clinical Orientation Files in BrightSpace
  • Trains the Clinical Assistant (if applicable) in duties pertaining to the clinical program
  • Works with the Assistant Program Administrator, DNAP-PD in clinical related issues
  • Assists with various other School projects and events
  • Other duties as assigned
